Pros

Benefits are good and aerospace engineering work can be interesting. Still seen are as solid company, so employment there looks good on a resume.

Cons

Honeywell's business strategy is consistent in two areas: constantly outsourcing American jobs to anywhere where labor is cheap while laying off employees in the US -- then using the profits from this to buy other companies to cannibalize. The dwindling experienced American staff are expected to clean up the substandard work that was outsourced while their salaries stagnate to generate more cash flow to buy other companies. New engineering development is limited as management likes to milk its technology as long as possible and then sells off business units no longer able to sell their outdated products.

Pros

The team is great and people are excited to have you there. You are given value-added work and projects week 1. There are a lot of other interns at both the graduate and undergraduate level so there is a strong sense of intern community and support. If you have to relocate for the internship, complete housing is provided (they find you an apartment and pay for everything - results on the apartment itself may vary but are generally close to the office).

Cons

Varying start dates led to varying first day experience. The onboarding day for those who had it day 1 was great, but some interns got it after their first week and had little direction day 1.
