Pros

Good job for the location. Good pay for the area.

Cons

Much of the hgher level management knows little about the army equipment that is taken in. They have little experience on what is required to conduct proper management of the property. Much of the management have little experience in actually managing people or how to even give precise exact instruction on how to conduct many of the tasks that are required. Vague, unclear guidance only leads to eventual confusion on concurrent ongoing tasks which many times leads to a high level of frustration and poor execution. General directives on how to manage the property from higher are commonly shot down once the nature of the equipment in discussion is explained or the conflicting nature of the directive with the long established standard op;erating procedure.

Pros

The team is great and people are excited to have you there. You are given value-added work and projects week 1. There are a lot of other interns at both the graduate and undergraduate level so there is a strong sense of intern community and support. If you have to relocate for the internship, complete housing is provided (they find you an apartment and pay for everything - results on the apartment itself may vary but are generally close to the office).

Cons

Varying start dates led to varying first day experience. The onboarding day for those who had it day 1 was great, but some interns got it after their first week and had little direction day 1.
