Pros
Worked with like minded people: in the sense we were all stressed and fed up with the shambles we had to try and navigate daily while the partner in charge faffed about achieving absolutely nothing of consequence.
Cons
The biggest issue working here was the complete lack of clear internal working procedures, particularly as higher-ups seemed to make it their business to have no clue either. HR were absolutely laughable; consider it non existent apart from avoiding all accountability for problems.
Policies were weak, and substandard staff training on essential areas such as AML were especially concerning.
The offices were poorly equipped in terms of IT, with functionally obsolete hardware still scraping along. The lovely guy looking after the buildings was hopelessly overworked, it would be completely unfair to say he was not doing a good job as he was spread so thin across the sites.
A very, very bad place to work. It took a bit of a miracle to get any client work accomplished due to the constant obstacles left by the management's backsides.
