Pros

I love working at Hormel, its easy to say but this really is a tight knit family culture, the people are what make this company awesome. I am given the freedom to express my skills and perform to the best of my availabilities without anyone looking over my shoulder. Hormel gives their employees the room and space to shine, the tools and support to grow and develop. The sky is truly the limit here as far as how far you want to go if you are willing to commit and work hard.

Cons

I dont think its a con however, some might. In some cases you may need to be willing to move to different cities or states to progress your career, however the company will pay to move you.

Pros

Corporate flexibility, higher pay for the area, many opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Current economic down turn is affecting stock price. This has had a recent effect with staffing and benefits both being reduced. New leadership is focused more on bringing in outside talent instead of growing from within.
