Pros
I love working for a company that sees me as a person first and an employee second. I've never had better support from an employer when things in my life interfere with work. Rich always listens to what I have to say about how we do business and takes my suggestions seriously. He trusts me to do my job, and even when I screw up he's never a jerk about telling me what I've done wrong. I truly enjoy the company of all my fellow employees.
It's great to work for a company that is truly out to help people get what they need at a reasonable price. As the bookkeeper, I have several times recommended raising our prices when our third-party expenses have gone up, and he has refused, even when our margin is 1%. Four three years now, we have donated time, money and server space every semester to dozens of community college students who are learning to build websites.
I've never worked anywhere as happily as I've working at Host Pond.
Cons
Being such a small company (four employees, only the owner full-time), they don't offer benefits like the bigger companies.
