Pros

- They offered basic salary that can be considered as the highest compare to other hotels - It offers the best and the most luxurious products (rooms, F&B, function rooms) and facilities. As a salesperson, we can sell them confidently. - For certain levels, lunch will be at the buffet restaurant (and it is super delicious!)

Cons

- Service charge is small because it is shared with 2000 staffs - Too many rules and regulations and sometimes it is inconsistent. As a salesperson, it will be challenging. - Taking annual leaves might be a challenge and you have to be prepared when they asked you to cancel your leaves last minute. - Health Insurance is not that great. They use public hospital insurance and government insurance. - Life and Work Balance might be challenging - Working environment is very competitive and many office politics involved - No training for sales team, no exciting events or team buildings for staff. Only recently we finally had a staff party (before pandemic)

Pros

- Luxury Hotel - Has won many international awards - Amazing products (F&B, facilities, services) offered - Great salary compare to other hotels - I have direct access to the top management, hence I can receive faster response especially if I meet with certain challenges

Cons

- Have to work 6 days / week - Hard to get approval for annual leaves - Personal opinion or ideas are not respected - Dictactor and Dutch-style leadership (always try to make us compete with one another) - Difficult to trust the team, due to its political culture - Public humiliation is normal happen (but not in front of guest) - No fixed SOP - Too many rules and regulations that sometimes not making any sense to us as employees and to guests - Strictly have to follow the rules - Everytime we make mistakes (big or small), superior always threaten to reprimand us - Not flexible - Too many things that are confidential - Not allowed to celebrate birthday or have a farewell celebration in the office
