Pros

There are no pros to working at House Tipster.

Cons

- Boss is out of his element has no idea what he's doing with his "tech" department. Goals, plans and projects are completely changed and upended every day. There is no set direction. There is non-stop chaos. - Managers are always looking to pass the buck and blame their underlings for their own mistakes. - Employees who don't speak Polish are regarded as second-class workers and inferior to all the Polish-speaking employees. - Property doesn't have enough parking spots for all its staff. - The parking lot is carelessly littered with nails, screws, and other random pieces of sharp metal. If you work here for any amount of time, sooner or later one of your tires will be popped. And you will not be compensated by the company to repair your tire. They don't care. - There is an active train line that blocks the entrance/exit of the property several times during the day. Sometimes you have to sit there for 30 minutes without being paid just waiting fora train to move out of the way so you can enter the property and clock in. - There are no paid sick days or paid holidays. Not even Christmas. - No matter what they tell you in your job interview, there is actually no employee health insurance (unless you speak Polish). - The boss won't pay for decent climate control, so during the summer, the office can reach temperatures of upwards of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. - Related to the boss and his climate control policy, he often likes to keep the doors propped open as a cheap way to bring cooler air into the office. This invites thousands of mosquitoes into the office from the Hackensack River in the rear of the property. Employees keep fly-swatters at their desks to deal with all the flying insects in the office. I'm not even kidding. - Boss has dozens of security cameras all over the office to monitor and record all employees at all times. There is a security camera above every single desk. - Employees have to clock in and out with their thumbprint like it's some dystopian novel.

Pros

Casual dress, Health benefits, and the occasional free coffee in the lunch area.

Cons

Working at this company has been a challenging experience due to several organizational shortcomings and management issues. The lack of structure creates a disorganized work environment, making it difficult to efficiently carry out tasks. The employment situation is unstable, with employees hired and fired abruptly without prior warning or clear communication. The work conditions further compound the dissatisfaction. Offering only 30 minutes for an unpaid lunch break is insufficient, leaving little time for employees to relax and recharge. The lack of care for employees is evident, particularly in the owner's seeming disinterest and apparent favoritism towards those who speak Polish. This favoritism fosters an unhealthy work culture, with instances of backbiting and an unfair advantage for certain individuals. The owner's impatience and quick judgment contribute to a stressful work atmosphere. The minimal training provided exacerbates this issue, leaving employees feeling ill-equipped for their roles. The compensation is subpar, and securing even a small raise becomes a challenging battle. The hourly pay structure, coupled with unpaid holidays, significantly impacts income, particularly during the holiday season. Moreover, the limited number of days off and a cramped, unclean lunch area further detract from the overall work experience. The absence of appreciation for employees and the lack of air conditioning or heating in the office reflect a disregard for the well-being and comfort of the workforce. In summary, the numerous issues mentioned paint a picture of an unsatisfactory work environment. The company's disorganization, inadequate treatment of employees, and poor working conditions highlight a need for significant improvements to foster a healthier and more supportive workplace.
