Pros

- The children and staff are wonderful. -Summer, winter, Thanksgiving, and Spring Breaks are effective for restorative rest and self-care. - The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with no holiday shifts. - The schedule aligns well with my children's academic calendar, facilitating a better work-life balance for parents. However, it is important to note that there may be a delay between the end of the school day and the completion of work, which can result in up to several hours of your own children having to wait to go home.

Cons

- The pay completely fails to match the demands and responsibilities of the job. - There are no breaks or downtime, and nurses can’t even take a lunch break because of the clinic’s constant flow and lack of coverage. Yet, lunch time is still deducted from your pay, whether you get to take it or not. - You’re contracted for 37.5 hours a week (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), but you’re often stuck working 12-hour days, five days a week, with no extra pay and no help to handle the crushing workload. - PTO is another sore spot: you get 10 days a year, but taking them is highly discouraged and you’ll be grilled about how you spend them. You’re only allowed to take up to 3 days off at a time. And when you leave the job, you lose all your accrued PTO—none of it is paid out. So, you get no reward for saving your PTO, and you’re penalized for using it. - If you have children, they are stuck at school for hours after the school day ends waiting on you to complete your daily workload.

Pros

Pays more than most districts. There is possibility of growth or movement every year.

Cons

Too many changes at times. When you have a good administration, they are shipped to other schools to help, but your school has to rest and start over with a leadership.
