Pros

Substantially improved work-life balance away from bedside demands, and the ability to advocate deeply for patient outcomes\

Cons

Heavy documentation, playing middleman between conflicted parties, and immense pressure to balance patient needs with strict insurance or hospital budgets

Pros

Houston Methodist as an entity is very good to work for. Average benefits, good bonus

Cons

There is no growth whatsoever especially in my department. It all depends on how close you are to your manager, not performance. Regional politics
