Pros
Work is rewarding, coworkers are lovely, clientele are predominantly long standing and like dealing with us. There are targets, but this certainly isn't some "hard-sell" setup. The approach focuses on recommending clients to purchase policies that genuinely fit their needs, and building strong rapport with clients. Covid Response has been second to none - half of my office has been homeworking since March 2020, and the other half work from the Branch, which is more than adequately socially distanced and cleaned regularly. Visitors to the Branch (e.g. occasional clients) are behind screens and are encouraged to wear masks on entry. Benefits are getting much better - since I started we've had an enhanced maternity / paternity package launched, for example. Internal opportunities are advertised internally, so lots of different routes to progress, but...
Cons
... Most of these progression will involve a relocation to another Branch or Head Office. If you want to progress without the commute, it's just not an option.
