Pros
- Sometimes you'll get interesting problems to work on. - Have some degree of independence and freedom when it comes to technical solution design and proposing ideas.
Cons
- Poor management! every single (mid-level to senior) manager I encountered seemed untrained and incompetent in terms of managerial skills (and even technical skills) - Little growth prospect as most of the managers need to speak Mandarin with China HQ. - Little/minimal benefits and perks, not at all generous even when it comes to honoring the top contributors in the team. - Top-down culture where managers are not cooperators, they try to push down what they desire.
