Pros

1. Hudl has a great culture + values which drives the work that everyone does. 2. Navigated the global pandemic well with a prioritization on employees. 3. The hiring process consistently brings in new, great people to work with that help push the company to the next level. 4. Hudl invests into employee growth and skillsets internally. Very common for people to be able to learn a new career path and move internally. 5. Benefits are very good and suited for a variety of lifestyles (individual vs. family). 6. While it may vary by team and department, there is generally a high level of flexibility in your work; the focus is more that you get the work done and not how many hours it takes. This includes remote work possibilities, flexible working hours, and as much time off as you would want or need.

Cons

1. If pay is something you value most in a compensation + benefits package, then Hudl pays "at market" and this usually will be lower than you may get at other companies. 2. The focus on getting work done can sometimes lead to periods of burnout if you're the type of person that pushes yourself. I have never been told by a manager that I needed to work more hours, but I likely put in more time during certain parts of the year or during certain projects because of the flexibility I have other times. 3. Sometimes, Hudl prioritizes internal promotions to certain leadership roles when we should be prioritizing external hires at this point in the company's growth. 4. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has been strongly pushed in the past few years, but it's difficult to see how much progress there has been made. Often times, I think we rely too heavily on hiring near office locations which negatively impacts this. (Easier to hire more diverse talent if we're open to more remote work.)

Pros

-Positive Business Outlook: Users love Hudl and it's a very forward-thinking product that has a great place in the future -Values-led culture/norms: People are at the heart of how we operate -Very talented overall workforce: Our bar on hiring is super high and performance management process works if there are clear underperformers. -People genuinely get along with each other for the moist part - far better than most organizations with huge silo walls.

Cons

-Decision-making bottleneck at exec-team level with some pretty hands on leaders in the weeds on too much. -Some teams are quite top-heavy, a poor micro-culture on the team, and have less accountability than they should (Finance/Accounting specifically) -We can settle on talent in key roles that is in a key hub where we have an office since less remote hiring is approved.
