Pros

Over my career, I have worked for several large companies. Hunter tops them all. When it comes to leadership- they’re there, working, listening, taking your viewpoints into consideration. When it comes to salary, they are reviewing benchmarks twice per year to make sure Hunter is offering a more than fair wage for the position. They will create a new title or role for an employee if they feel the employee deserves a promotion, regardless if a role is opening or not. They are generous with bonuses, even outside of the holiday season. Employee engagement and satisfaction are huge drivers in the company and are consistently being reviewed. Hunter keeps their values and believes in the employees having a life outside of work but also enjoying their work life. This is by far the best company that I have ever worked for.

Cons

8 hour and 45 minute work day. This includes 45 minutes of an unpaid lunch. An 8 hour day with a 30 minute paid lunch would be preferable for most employees. Almost 9 hours at work, plus the transit there and back creates a very long day.

Pros

Growing company. Culture is okay in a lot of departments but they can be strangely separated. Meaning - each department sort of has its own culture. Benefits are really good for the most part.

Cons

Career growth is not really a thing in a lot of departments. Its up to the employee to go on their own. Very few seminars, continuing education is offered by leaders. Company is moving toward little collaboration among those that aren't promoted. Operations system workflow apps are updating for each department but are separated. There's been a mass exit of long-term employees in leadership that are in their late 50s and early 60s.
