The executive level is weak, inept, and doesn't support the project teams or protect them from bad owners (they say they don't work with bad owners, but they do work with anyone with a checkbook).
You become a negative dollar sign as soon as you hit the bench, so don't wait for them to ask you to leave; get ahead of them and leave before the project finishes.
