      Too Chaotic, leadership lacks knowledge about ML/AI, especially MLOps - Senior Machine Learning Engineer Hyland Employee Review

      - work life balance is not too bad

      Cons

      - Salary raises are rare and difficult to get (almost like a taboo topic when discussed with managers). Maximum I could get was 3.5% in one year. I was told it was an exceptional pay raise due to my good performance lol - no bonus, just base - food allowance is not updated for years - management is too chaotic - it's CEO's way or the highway - higher management was virtually zero knowledge about MLOps and has false expectations about implementing ML/AI systems. They think its simple and like traditional software. They expect it to be built yesterday at maximum performance

      Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

      Cons

      Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
