Pros

Hypersonix is unique as it uses cutting edge plasma technology to coat nanoparticles onto various surfaces to improve wear and high temperature performance of critical components for their customers. As a Sr. Engineer, I was given task to revamp their process equipment and have been leading the design of a new, compact reaction chamber and controls. The company operated organically to complete necessary task and was accommodating to work schedule. Like most startup, you are striving to succeed in the markets and work diligently to meet those expectations.

Cons

The present location of the company is a 25 minute drive from my current residence, but traffic is bearable and swift. At present time, budget is limited, but looking to secure a large customer contract soon.

Pros

Hypersonix works to be the first to achieve commercialization of a nanocrystal film deposition process. This mission lends a pioneering vibe that makes every test result and each new business connection salivating. Being new to the scene, Hypersonix works under a tight budget, requiring us to do a lot of stuff in-house and by hand, which has provided excellent practical experience not had in college and a high level of familiarization with the equipment. The small company size enables a strong rapport among employees.

Cons

The limitations of being a start-up are felt in the workplace at Hypersonix. Lack of resources translates to not having enough tasks to occupy time between process tests and equipment that requires frequent maintenance, the latter scuttling a day's worth of work.
