Pros
Although hyrecar has been around for a few years, the culture is still very much one that feels like a startup. Over the years, the culture has improved dramatically as the company has brought on board new employees with different or more experience and that has continued. Though the stock has gone up and down, I feel like we're building a solid foundation with the right people and processes to dominate carshare. -Some employees who really care about the customers and the business, not just here for a quick buck -More and more professional employees joining the company to balance the tribal knowledge here with outside industry experience -CEO and President really care about the team and the people -Still small enough to try new things and just a few of those could really make the company explode
Cons
-While a lot of it has gone away, there is still some frat-like remnants of the culture though new employees have started to really change the culture -Tech needs a lot of work and is probably the area where new employees can make the biggest difference...it feels too slow for a startup-minded company this small -It has improved, but ongoing transparency from leadership with a culture of being a safe space will allow the company to move faster and try new things without fear -The company grew quickly with loyal employees so there is no clear leveling system and titles are all over the place (and aren't tied to experience)
