As an intern I was able to learn useful information that I now use on a daily basis.

A beautiful office space that doesn't fully take advantage of the entire area.

Pros

I love working for I Imagine! I've learned more in the past year from the owner's of the agency then in my entire graduate program. Because it is a boutique agency, you get to wear multiple hats, work with diverse clients, and learn something new every day. I enjoy the office location in downtown Chicago and love the people I work with even more. Regardless if your an intern or the head of the company, there's something to learn from everyone and I'm truly grateful for the experiences and opportunities.

Cons

Working for a marketing agency can often mean long hours and stressful situations when you're close to deadline. If you're a 9-5 person, agency life is not for you. You have to be able to juggle multiple things at once and prioritize. Luckily, I Imagine is really good at dishing out "comp days". So if you've put in a 50-60 hour work week one week, you can get a day off the next to rest and relax, which is great.

Pros

Working at I Imagine Studio was an amazing experience. As an intern, I looked forward to going to work everyday and working there made me realize just what I want from future job experiences. The people I worked with are all friendly and extremely helpful -- I never felt like I was out of the loop, and because it's such a small work environment, I got to work on lots of different projects and see what I liked/excelled in. Also really great that they trust their interns with so much work -- and it's not silly busy work either. Most days you'll be doing work along the lines of what senior level employees are doing. At the end of the internship, you'll have a LOT to show, and a lot to say that you've done. They also trust their interns to work on all their clients, big and small.

Cons

No real downsides at I Imagine. They're the same downsides as any other place -- sometimes the office can be a bit empty and days can be slower/quieter, but for the most part, you'll be kept busy.
