Through employee feedback, our benefits team found that having paid time off that includes both sick and vacation time gives our employees more flexibility. Typically, businesses practice either a lump sum approach to paid time off (PTO), or an accrual bank. We take the latter so employees can use their days within the year or rollover to the following year. In case of emergency or a need for extended leave, we offer added support, like employee donated pools or short-term disability leave. If you still have more questions about PTO, you can reach out to your HR representative.
