Pros

Flexible hours are nice. Pleasant co-workers are interesting to work with. At least what's left of them.

Cons

They pay way under scale for talented employees. They let the clients dictate everything. Every day things are on fire. Everything is so "get it done" for the client, that they let the clients walk all over them, for fear of losing them, that catching up on back work is impossible. It's like a clique, with one group not talking or looking down at other groups. There is little to no communication between divisions. Management style is "Get just enough work done to keep your job. If someone does more work than you, make sure to make them feel guilty or try to block them." That stifles communication and inovation. The senior management does not know how to properly manage a company. Letting go of 30% of your staff is horrible for employee moral. It may help upper management to keep their jobs, and keep the company afloat, but it's a shell of a company then. It's slow and sloth like. You can't be decisive and agile in a shell of a company. They have spent over 200k on accounting hardware/software, but they are more concerned with cutting corners by releasing staff, than seeing the errors in their spending and management. They have a lot of employees left who are still there after the job cuts that do little to no work. They kept the ones that they like, or are in the clique, but got rid of the people who actually made a difference or people that were mavericks and thought out of the box, and "not the idc way of doing things". Also, they seem to have the mentality that they can continue to run a company like the 1950s and not adapt to the times and changes in technology. "We've done it this way for years, this is how we do it at IDC" is a frequently heard phrase, when they are blowing off actual ideas or plans for company growth.
