This place feels like being in a chicken cage. There is a complete lack of transparency—particularly from the person who managed me during my time there. They were avoidant and made me feel as though I was set up to fail, delegating an excessive amount of work and projects while subtly micromanaging. It was very evident.
They seemed desperate to get work done before the year-end and were focused on draining someone else’s hard work, with a strong sense that you could be discarded once everything was finished. The induction process was not robust, and overall processes are extremely poor. Talented people leave because of the lack of transparency, weak processes, and premature management practices.
There is a lot of backstabbing, and people continue to speak badly about those who have left, as well as about colleagues within the office who have nothing to do with them. Some staff from different departments even asked me to spare time to help with their projects because they wanted to avoid begging within their own teams. Teams are at war with each other, and the level of desperation goes far beyond what is healthy.
I don’t have a major issue with the company itself, but I have seen individuals foster this kind of workplace nightmare. Alcohol seems to be the only thing lifting morale and defining the culture within the agency.
