Pros
IESO is tasked with operating and planning the electricity’s grid so there’s a lot of meaningful work. Most employees are unionized so pay and benefits are above what you’d expect in the private sector
Cons
Provincial government is forcing everyone to return 5 days a week in office. Office space was designed for 2 to 3 days a week (renovations are still ongoing in Toronto office and the design was hybrid). Not sure how management will deal with additional space needs at this time.
