Pros
Benefits, decent pay, IFM is a diverse firm so you will be working with some highly intelligent people with varied skillsets across multiple departments.
Cons
They don't practice what they preach. Senior execs (or those protected by senior execs) can get away with anything. Bullying culture gets swept under rug, as bullying tends to come from those who work directly for the leadership. I had to witness multiple great employees leave due to the impact to their mental health from bullying. Little chance for career progression. A lot of micromanagement from leaders, which led to insecurity of managers and thus micromanaging their own teams. Prior to the pandemic the culture was ok, despite the above cons, however post pandemic staff (especially managers/directors) are rude, impatient, inconsiderate and unrecognisable from pre pandemic. I witnessed too many conversations where management went far beyond what would be professional, courteous behaviour, both verbally and via email. It seems the behaviour has gone unnoticed for long enough that it is now the norm and new culture for IFM.
