Pros

I've seen a lot of harsh reviews done by former colleagues of mine and I feel compelled to say the truth, at least from my humble point of view as IGG's Operations & BD Director for more than 15 months in the company. Every company has their own problems, this is inevitable everywhere, what I liked about IGG are the followings. Pros: 1, Company’s working environment is top class, at least in the FZ HQ, you get free Gyms, cinemas, swimming pools, day care center, buffet..etc 2, People in IGG are mostly nice, by mostly, it doesn’t include the upper management personnel. Not too many company politics going on and again, I do NOT include the upper managements in this statement. 3, The company offers a care package deal for the new in-town employees, providing them as much help as possible when they first arrive and I think that’s a great way to help the new guys feel like home. I have to give my respect to the IGG HR team for delivering the warm welcomes to all new employees. 4, The Boss’s, by that, I mean the people who out ranked me (in my case, is the VP’s and C-level officers), they are quite understanding and they care about your life, family, worries or concerns for most of the times. 5, Company does provide a lot of holiday gifts, gift cards, company trips within domestic and internationally. It provides a stable life for those who has family and not looking for unnecessary excitements.

Cons

Cons: 1, Company’s pros are also its cons. Where majority of the employees are local family based, it created an environment that people are not willing to do or say or even propose the right thing just so they don’t get fired or demoted, rank and salary wise. Where 5% of the people who are actually result driven and looking for rooms to improve, explore and learn, they become an eye sore for those who just want to clock in , clock out, yes sir, yes ma’am their way through a day, which is the other 95%. 2, Once again, IGG’s pros’ also the downfall on this one, like I mentioned above, IGG is very nice enough to provide a lot of compensations for the employees, but the employees from other cities or even countries, they don’t see it as a plus because they don’t really need it. They are here to work, learn, expand and hopefully get paid well. But the company seems to care more about providing for the local employees much more than the out of towners. 3, Some key positions are held by very questionable people who seems not anywhere up to the professional nor knowledge standard. I understand the family thing in the corporation but giving out Key positions to very unqualified people can cost serious nightmares for people who actually have to do the job and since 95% of the co-workers refuse to stand out and point out the problem due to Cons 1, the voices of change is never heard nor backed up by the majority. 4, Since a lot of key positions are held by unqualified people, it made the progresses on anything much much harder, it’s not time efficient and opportunities to explore or try new methods were simply being stalled or shut down due to the decision makers’ in-capabilities. 5, Cross department power struggle, I’ve had people from different department who had zero gaming operations/marketing experiences trying to teach my team how to do my job and since that person’s been with the company for 10 years and had a good relationship with the boss, onc again, i was told no to stand up to him simply because he will (or he may) make my daily jobs much harder. I’ve seen my people sat there quietly and listened to an hour of nonsense. Once again, this only happens in the upper managements. 6, A lot of people are calling the company racist, I Do NOT agree on that, but what i agree is, once again, the upper managements can be very bias towards someone based on a rumor from someone he/she likes or simply based on the stereotypes. Separate life and work’s not being well executed in the office. *Last but not least, IGG's well known for their noncompetitive salary levels, so if you are looking for the money trail, this is not it.
