The leadership team demonstrates a lack of effective leadership and provides little to no guidance, leaving employees feeling as though they are simply trying to survive day to day. The workload is significantly higher than what was outlined in the job description (and no extra compensation is offered). There are no real opportunities for professional development, as the company does not genuinely invest in building employee skills. The team I previously worked with creates “professional workshops” that are essentially meaningless presentations. These are then used to support the narrative that the organization invests in training, despite offering little to no practical or real value. Human resources do nothing for the culture, company events are uninspiring and clearly driven by cost-cutting rather than employee experience. Overall, there is a strong focus on minimizing costs, often at the expense of employee well-being and morale to the point where even basic considerations, such as providing coffee, tea or snacks, are overlooked.

Pros

Lots of smart people working in a respectful, collegial fashion to make customers happy. Strong ethics at the top - people are treated with respect

Cons

Multiple people responsible for everything but nobody owns anything - makes it very difficult to get anything done.
