Pros

Lots of opportunities to gain computer skills (SAS, Excel, Access). Easy going environment. Great Location and many networking opportunities. A diverse work environment with fun and outgoing people. Great Benefits. Great place to work if you are interested in energy data.

Cons

There are limits to the quality of your work and this is mainly due to inefficiencies and bureaucratic red tape of the federal government, not the company.

Pros

1. 100% remote work in Continental US. 2. No previous experience needed as training is provided, which is great for recent graduates or people trying to make a career change. 3. Great work/life balance. 4. Work load is very manageable; low stress job overall. 5. Management do not micromanage as long as employees do their job and are always open for dialogue. 6. Coworkers are friendly, President is very nice. 7. Good company culture; nice holiday get togethers/HH. 8. Good benefits: Alternate Work Schedule, Floating Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, SL, Bereavement leave, FMLA, 401K with company match, year-end bonus, Life Insurance covered by company at no cost to employee.

Cons

1. Extremely low analyst salaries for a company based in Arlington, VA (previously based in DOE headquarters at Washington, DC.) Analyst salaries start at $43k yearly, which is way below the minimum for the DMV. 2. Low to 0 growth opportunities due to management pyramid. 3. Only accrue around 3hrs of PTO per paid period. 4. Team leads are not appropriately trained to manage people. 5. Ideas and suggestions are not heard by some team leads which causes employees to go above them and directly to the supervisor. 6. We cannot have direct communication with our clients which slows down resolution times. 7. Job is very repetitive and mind-numbing at times.
