Pros

Commission structure is decent (if your part of the clique and get the good roles). Decent work life balance

Cons

The fire culture here is terrible. They pretend to be your friend, then the next minute your getting sat down told you have to leave and your removed off all the systems in the space of minutes. It’s as if you’ve committed some sort of crime, they’ve even done it to people who have billed the most at the time. Favouritism is imbedded in the culture, if you’re not liked by the CEO or MD you at the bottom of the dog pile. There will be no reason for either of them not to like you; to the MD your either a man or not posh enough, and to the CEO, you don’t beg for his attention . This company is never going to grow and it’s going to be same old 5 men, with the rotation of a couple junior people every now and then to fill some quota they have. They don’t care what is going on in your personal life, or have the decency to pull you up if they feel like you need to work on something, they’ll just discuss amongst themselves when they fire someone and then the rest of the company have to act as if they’ve never met them. They live off of being a 20+ year old company, but no one has had the chance to grow up the ladder. They need serious help in restructuring the company, it lacks culture and is very un-diverse.

Thank you for your review and comments. We will take some of your observations on board as to what we could do better in future, in particular to ensure that everyone who does leave feels like they have been treated respectfully and honestly. That being said, whilst we will not respond to the personal derogatory comments to avoid a we-said/they-said situation we do feel obliged to provide feedback on some specific comments given this is a public review; 1) We have never terminated employment of individuals who are consistently performing well across all KPIs for performance-based reasons; so we refute your comment suggesting that we have asked people to leave who have ‘billed the most at the time’, unless there were other factors relating to performance, such as missed targets, low activity levels, serious breaches of contract including no activity when working from home, or otherwise 2) There are numerous examples of individuals who have progressed from Graduate-level to Principal-level and indeed beyond 3) We conduct internal surveys regularly to track IRG employee satisfaction and consistently receive feedback that we are understanding of individuals personal situations and offer flexibility for this 4) Given the nature of our client-base, calibre and seniority of candidate and confidentiality of the work we do, it is not unreasonable to limit communication for individuals who are leaving the business as to do otherwise could have a significant negative impact both on the individual and the business If you wish, we’d be happy to discuss the content of your review and our response offline as long as you are happy to do so.
