Pros

>Lots going on if you like social and get-involved things/charity days etc. >Range of training for CPD, with both group wide & team level options. >Very ambitious company, regarding growth & desired market position. >Flexible work patterns & hybrid-working options. >Competitive on pay (holidays could be better though). >Strong drive to encourage staff to be independent in their roles.

Cons

>It can sometimes feel like a pressure cooker when things get busy. >Lack of technical skills in management positions can sometimes lead to issues. >Could be more operationally proactive rather than reactive. >Slow to engage with data driven decision making. >Relies on external 3rd parties for many things, it has skilled staff - use them. >Worst department IMHO is HR, slow to do anything, lack of knowledge in everything, no drive (would probably prefer to go back to manual employee records in a cabinet), so many of them that do not a lot apart from say "will get back to you" (if they ever do).

For example, we offer a free Employee Assistance Programme through Aviva, provide flexible working options, and one of our training courses for this quarter’s curriculum is ‘’How to Deal with Pressure, Stress & Pressurised workloads’, ‘Time Management’ and ‘Mental Wellbeing & Resilience’. Employee feedback is also very important to us, and we encourage our employees to share their thoughts and comments with us through Peakon, our monthly employee engagement platform. Here, staff can communicate anonymously with managers and senior leaders to provide their feedback and #MakeItHappen. We are delighted that since its launch, our managers have provided 41,000 replies, interactions, and comments. Pros

I have been with Iris for approximately 5 months and have been incredibly impressed. The people I work with from my peers, leadership (including executive leadership) and my team, are amazing. Building relationships has been easy as most of the employees are open to it, are very collaborative and genuinely want to help! Iris is also focused on equality and ensure we all have a fair opportunity for growth. While we have a lot to do here, it is clear that we are valued.

Cons

As a rapidly growing organization, we have some growing pains and some foundational processes, systems and flow that need to be updated and/or adjusted, but nothing that won't be fixed over time.
