Pros
The other employees are hardworking and dedicated (to what seems to be dead company ideals and culture). This will soon no longer be a 'Pro' as there has been a mass exodus of employees, the majority of which have been around for years, not new hires that 'didn't work out'. This was an excellent place to work years ago and the long term employees that remain seem to be clinging to the hope that things go back. They get one star because I can't put less.
Cons
They will describe it as a challenging and fast paced environment. My experience has been that they really mean; you will be expected to work overtime and weekends all the time as they are perpetually understaffed and everyone is overworked. This has been everyone's opinion long before the pandemic or their acquisition by CompassMSP. It seems as though the response from upper management has been to ignore the situation or respond with "be more efficient". Provide max value everyone!! I can imagine the 'super lean' numbers looked nice on paper for that sellout... I mean merger. Management seems to ignore inquiries about pay raises and advancement, or pretend the conversations and promises never happened. It also appears that they value a new employee more than a long term one as the new guy will get more, sometimes significantly. This seems to be the case even when the long term employee has gone above and beyond for years, and may have been told things like, there is no room in the budget, even for a cost of living raise. The CEO could sell ice to an Eskimo and his marketing teams creates a convincing smokescreen on social media. Don't fall for their nonsense. They seem to be hiring anyone they can because of the mass exodus, imagine something like over a dozen employees in less than half as many months. It's a comically large number for the total amount of employees. Let's not forget their acquisition of ITG Cloud, it appears as though only a few of those employees are left as well, but that includes the former owner and his daughter, so maybe that doesn't really count. They likely saw exactly what it was like, without the blinders from the good old days of IT Direct, and jumped ship. The dumpster fire that was inherited from ITG Cloud seems to have just been ignored and piled onto the ever dwindling and overworked existing employees, or just ignored until the clients left. If you do choose to come work here make sure you park in the employee of the month parking spot, as their has not been one in around 18 months? So it won't matter if you do, and you will get to park next to the CEO/Former Owners brand new Porsche, assuming hes actually there and not off thinking up his next spin tactic to keep employees and clients just a little bit longer.
