Pros

Free snacks (for now), one day lunch stipend (for now), commuter benefits (for now), very nice co-workers.

Cons

Absolute Chaos across the entire company. It's become a culture of fear and getting worse every day. Constant pivots, changing benchmarks and massive disorganization. Leadership has no idea how to run a company. Constant reorgs, and killing of projects with a moments notice. It's not uncommon to have 3-4 managers or team swaps in a year. The domain knowledge is insane because everyone gets moved so quickly no one fully understands how things work. Now it's AI everything - which is bound for a huge disaster because you can't automate that level of chaos - just more failure they are setting everyone up for. Managers are so overworked its just sad. It is very obvious they don't care about their employees. Now that the stock isn't doing well they are taking benefits away left and right. Unless you are absolutely desperate for a paycheck to survive keep looking. Don't come to Ibotta - you will regret it!

Pros

The best people I've worked with in Denver Interesting product and modern tech stack Lots of opportunity to grow Free Lunches and Unlimited PTO (that you can actually take)

Cons

Return to office is stressing out all the people who have been around ibotta for 5 or more years, people who have the most context on the product that we sell. It feels like ibotta is in a high-pressure post IPO period, trying to thin its people out by slowly taking away benefits. A few years ago it felt like there was some great hype around our products (IPN, Walmart), but now the hype feels fake around leadership. Standups have gotten really boring and I don't feel like any ICs and lower-level managers are actually excited about projects. The office used to be friendly and fun without the feeling of "you better get stuff done now!", but now it feels like few people smile and are friendly anymore. Same people, but just under lots more pressure to perform. The "common good" of teams working together is deteriorating a little bit. It feels like people don't want to collaborate and help out as much as they used to.
