Pros

The best people I've worked with in Denver Interesting product and modern tech stack Lots of opportunity to grow Free Lunches and Unlimited PTO (that you can actually take)

Cons

Return to office is stressing out all the people who have been around ibotta for 5 or more years, people who have the most context on the product that we sell. It feels like ibotta is in a high-pressure post IPO period, trying to thin its people out by slowly taking away benefits. A few years ago it felt like there was some great hype around our products (IPN, Walmart), but now the hype feels fake around leadership. Standups have gotten really boring and I don't feel like any ICs and lower-level managers are actually excited about projects. The office used to be friendly and fun without the feeling of "you better get stuff done now!", but now it feels like few people smile and are friendly anymore. Same people, but just under lots more pressure to perform. The "common good" of teams working together is deteriorating a little bit. It feels like people don't want to collaborate and help out as much as they used to.

Pros

Pros: • The product and overall mission are compelling • Opportunity to drive meaningful revenue and own a book of business • Some talented and supportive peers across the organization • Fast-paced environment where you can learn quickly

Cons

• Significant concerns around pay equity and role alignment. In my experience, responsibilities often exceeded title and compensation, with inconsistent alignment across peers. • Noticeable disparities in treatment and opportunity across different groups, including concerns around race and gender equity. • Workplace culture can include subtle but persistent microaggressions and exclusionary dynamics, which over time impact psychological safety and overall employee experience. • Constant organizational changes, shifting expectations, and lack of clear communication from leadership created instability and confusion. • Feedback and performance management could feel inconsistent and, at times, subjective. • Culture can feel reactive rather than supportive, especially during periods of change. • Employees are required to sign arbitration agreements, which limit the ability to pursue claims in court and waive the right to a jury trial. This is important to understand upfront, as it impacts how workplace disputes are handled. change. • Prior to the re org SLT was diverse in gender and race now majority white men, change. • Internally they are selling a system that “proves” sales lift but it is not accurate management knows it but won’t allow sellers to tell brands the system is not ready
