Pros
Jim Henson will be happy, the muppets found a place to go after his passing, unfortunately for everyone else, that place was Idera software.
Cons
They have no idea about nuance of different forms of software, it all has to fit into a single model, the management is incompetent beyond belief and they seemingly have no desire to actually learn what the company they aquire actually is and does. There intention is clear, in my opinion, buy a company, act like they have intentions to invest in the company, increase terms of licensing and support, and then gut the company beyond repair. If you are a software engineer, run from this company, they have no value for you and believe that you can easily be replaced by the lowest bidding contractor with no experience, nor actual skills needed.
