Pros

The main team are great people, creative full of ideas and the most warm bunch of people I've ever had the pleasure or working with. If you do work here, and you feel like you are being spoken to incorrectly or something isn't right - speak to them! The team will understand, you are not on your own.

Cons

Staff are expected to be robots. Their ideal candidate would be someone who doesn't speak, definitely doesn't laugh, shows up and hour early and leaves an hour late. Staff get no respect (in my experience this is especially the case with women you are not taken seriously) you will feel like a worker bee just there to make someone else successful. You will never be made to feel like part of the business, no matter how many years hard work you put in. No benefits to working here. The owners best friend (40 year old man) will most likely try to intimidate you and if you report it, you could be told to 'bite your tongue'. He has had many formal complains by multiple people but no action has been taken. Talking is actively discouraged. You will be underpaid and expected to work above your wage. No HR in the UK. Culture and values are none existent. The list could go on unfortunately...

Pros

Good introduction to how not to run a business Short term intro into CGI

Cons

A small business ran by egotistical individuals, also elitist, unethical and have no respect for staff. Overseas studio is treated terribly and these staff are made to work Saturdays and late nights frequently. The staff turnover is huge because of these reasons. There is no direction or management and the 'cheap mentality' means corners are cut whenever possible. Staff are asked on a regular basis for ideas and opinions, which are then either ridiculed, or repackaged by seniors as their own. Round and round in circles talking about the same issues, meetings after pointless meetings, that never get fixed. Because ultimately there is no care about offering the best service or best quality - only about making money. And they don’t do that well because everything is offered at a discount, putting pressure on the whole extended team to make sure certain department gets the commission. This is a business where strong women don’t belong. Females are made to feel like a bad source of energy, very sexist environment, not modern or progressive. There is no HR, so when you raise concerns with those in charge it is ignored and held against you. Never worked in a more uncomfortable, thankless, egotistical environment.
