Pros

Most of my coworkers were great.

Cons

Everything. Literally - everything. You will never just work an eight hour day. Most of my colleagues worked a MINIMUM of eleven. Hands down the most toxic work environment I've ever worked in. The pay is offensively low, the hours are long (with no overtime), the sales team is condescending, belittling, mean, rude, disrespectful, and the entire company talks about how awful they treat everyone. My significant other BEGGED me to leave long before I did because he couldn't count the amount of times I would come home crying because of an awful experience that day. We all bonded over how awful these particular coworkers were and how much of a joke our salaries were. If you do something right, you won't hear about it, but if you don't call a coworker or a client back within ten minutes they will call your boss and complain about you. The entire company is incredibly toxic and I am only thankful I worked there because I made best friends who will last a lifetime -- who, have all also left, for the exact reasons listed above. You're technically allowed to go and get lunch, but you have to make up the 15 minutes you were gone to pick it up. If you left right at 5, other coworkers will complain. During my time there, I had met with three former employees who I had never met before who were all in different roles and all had the same advice - RUN. I was so excited to work for a mostly female company, but soon realized that the middle-school-mean-girl-mentality was not for me.

Pros

-4-day workweek: having Fridays off and a 3-day weekend contributes to a great work/life balance -Fully remote: You can work from anywhere in the country (or world). People routinely work from overseas or different parts of the country. -Great people/community feel: Because IM is only about 40 employees, you get to know everyone on a personal and professional level. I genuinely consider many of my coworkers my friends outside of work. -Sense of purpose: Working with small business owners, you feel like you're making a difference every day. You build real connections with your clients and understand their business needs.

Cons

-Cycle of work: Because this is a marketing agency, certain times of the year are busier than others, which can be stressful -Lack of in-person gatherings: This is a pro in some ways because you can work from wherever you'd like but sometimes you can feel disconnected from your co-workers since you don't see them in person

Pros

Fully remote work is the only saving grace. If this required going into an office, I would have lost my sanity long ago.

Cons

- Work-life balance is a complete disaster, with crushing workloads, endless hours, short breaks, and no real support from management - Exhaustion and burnout are constant because there is never a chance to catch your breath before another task is dumped on you - Managers are toxic, showing zero concern for employees and exploding when their outrageous demands are not instantly met - Expectations are unreasonable and impossible to achieve, creating constant frustration and stress - The salary is insulting compared to the enormous workload and relentless pressure, making the effort feel worthless - Blame is thrown around instead of solving problems, with employees being sacrificed to cover management’s failures
