Business outlook
Pros
Within Cornwall, imerys offers good base-levels of pay and the usual perks if being a large company. The local working environment was good and fairly flexible.
Cons
Upper management has a history of being very France-centric, and a general disregard for anyone outside that sphere. Corporate management is universally disliked and not respected, with good reason. Every few years Imerys undergoes a mass 'restructure' during which many people are made redundant (there are numerous examples of people who have been made redundant and rejoined the company multiple times). These 'restructures' are managed terribly by the local HR function, who, with one or two exceptions, appear totally inept.
