Pros

if survive >1y chance to learn a lot and add valuable experience for future job, the general staff is friendly, middle management is supportive, office location is close to mtr

Cons

HR department lacks H(umaneness), general staff gets the tasks above their job duty and pay grade to solve with full ownership and close to no decision making ability, performance motivation will drop fast due to management lack of work ethics and leadership, lack of trust and somewhat no equality, too short term vision and unrealistic long term goals with no transparency, often avoidable stress situations created internally, structure on paper and chaos in reality, forget life work balance

Thank you for sharing your honest experience. While it is good to hear that you found growth opportunities and support from peers and middle management, we are sorry that other parts of your time with us fell short. Your feedback on ownership, structure, and transparency is taken seriously—we are actively working to improve internal alignment and communication. We agree: our people are our most valuable asset. We remain committed to learning from feedback like yours to build a stronger, more balanced work culture.

Pros

- Some colleagues are genuinely talented and dedicated, which makes it a bit easier to navigate the otherwise challenging environment. - Opportunities for learning about new technologies, although these are limited and often not applicable to our actual work. - Flexible work hours in theory, but the reality is that the workload often makes it hard to take advantage of this.

Cons

- Not many good aspects to highlight. The work environment is cold and hostile, making collaboration difficult. - Micromanaging. - Close to zero company growth opportunities. - There’s a significant disconnect between the company's advertised values and the reality. The fake online advertisements and fake user reviews create a misleading impression. - Salaries are poor compared to industry standards, leaving many employees feeling undervalued and unmotivated. - The company does not provide what workers need to succeed, often forcing us to use software that is either still in development or doesn't function properly. - Overemphasis on AI without considering the practical implications and challenges it brings to our day-to-day tasks. - There's a level of hypocrisy in leadership when it comes to promoting a positive workplace culture while failing to address the real issues employees face. Overall, I would not recommend working at Impala Services (nor their spin-off projects) unless significant changes are made to improve the work environment and employee satisfaction.

Pros

One of the standout aspects of working at Impala Services is the management. Our boss is respectful, open to feedback, and genuinely listens to the team, which creates a positive and motivating work environment. The team itself is collaborative and supportive, making it easier to manage tasks and stay aligned on project goals. As a Project Coordinator, I had the opportunity to learn a lot — from managing resource allocations to ensuring timely project delivery — which helped me grow both professionally and personally. The company encourages responsibility and gives you space to take ownership of your role.

Cons

Like any growing company, there are ongoing efforts to enhance systems and streamline processes. I see this not as a downside, but as an exciting opportunity to be part of positive change. The company is open to continuous improvement, and being involved in shaping that progress has been a rewarding experience in itself.
