Pros

The most valuable asset to being employed by the IHSS as I see It, is that it doesn't take much to remain employed. Another would be the fact that you can provide care to family so there's no doubt of the care they are receiving. I really appreciate how the time sheets have become fully functional on line equipped with apps and calculators and all. This helps getting paid a breeze. Less time consuming, more accurate where hours and payment are concerned, and lets not forget the prepaid debit union card, that omits cashing checks.

Cons

If i had to complain it would be directed to the union staff, I had tried numerous times to just contact any member to assist me a serious matter that only they can assist with. All i ever got were recordings promising to return calls that never were. I can't imagine what's taken almost 9 months to not return my call. I've since just given up on the matter and moved forward.

very relaxed and independent, get to pick your own hours

bimonthly pay, also depends on your recipient
