Pros

+ Great product + Great people when I first joined + Great sales leaders in all markets & regions + Very trusting and Entrepreneurial

Cons

I wouldn't wish the experience I had on anybody. There is a lot of politics that is making working at Indeed toxic. My team and I were constantly bombarded with last minute changes & requests that were becoming impossible to manage. We weren't involved in any of the planning discussions - things were dumped on us and we were told to make it all work within really tight timeframes. Aligned with my manager I pushed back on this in once. What happened next was beyond believe - My manager hung me out to try and didn't back me - I was put on a 1 month PIP as I 'wasn't supporting the business' - My PIP was extended for a further two months for no reason at all. During this period my manager didn't meet with me once to discuss the PIP - One week before the PIP was due to end I was told I have passed and I would be getting an extra bonus for having a great quarter - Then I was told I failed and I'd be put on a second 1 month PIP - no reason given and HR testifying in my PIP review. - A person in my team had also raised a false allocation against me. Why? I was holding that person accountable to their work and no proof was found to support the claim. No apologies, nothing resolved so this person spread lies to my team about me. When I reported this to HR, again zero support. - I had a 75 page document that was going to do a lot of damage to a lot of people, and legally I was advised I had a very strong case based on the evidence for abuse & discrimination against me. I have no idea how some people, who do nothing are in the roles they are in. Heads of departments within EMEA - these are literally people you wouldn't trust to butter a slice of bread!!!

Pros

I loved the talented people I worked with; I appreciated being appreciated; I loved helping employers hire; and I really thought this would be the company I retired from.

Cons

The company culture changed significantly after it became publicly traded; I didn't particularly care for how they handled layoffs; they didn't always act on the feedback they received; and they were slow to jump on the AI train.
