Hands-off, and no micro-managing of time.

No organization, or communication amongst staff. Low staff retention due to mismanagement of resources, and a lack of foresight.

The residents are absolutely amazing and it is a home setting so it is comfortable. You help residents with everything from the time they open their eyes until they go to sleep, including meal preparation. The nurse is really easy to get along with as long as you do your job well.

Upper management. You are treated as a name on the schedule versus an actual employee. It is evident that management does not care as long as they do not end up working any open shifts. Sometimes you can’t even get a hold of upper management, even in times when advice is needed pertaining to resident care. And communication is full of defensiveness and irritation any time you have to get management involved.
