Pros
- The culture is wonderful; a company that encourages creativity and character from their team members. - Wide range of support: If I need maintenance or leasing support, we have the roving team, we have helpful (and hilarious) people in helpdesk/IT/accounting/payables. Even if I have creative blocks for something as simple as a party flyer...we have a team to help. It is unbelievable the length that this company goes to help you succeed. - Promote within: If you express interest in moving up, there are always opportunities. They always have capital projects if you are looking towards construction or renovation. - Make a difference: This is the first company where I have felt like I can make a difference. Everyone I've collaborated with has inspired me and encouraged me in some fashion. There are a number of individuals in the company who do so much good the the community, it's really something special.
Cons
- Sometimes you have to wait: If you express interest in moving to a different area or change your position, you may have to wait for the next available slot. There is a lot of movement in real estate, but good things come to those who wait! - Boutique style wages: While it's not impossible to make six figures in property management, it's a rare find in mid sized companies such as this. Regardless, I am so much happier here, my quality of life was worth the minor downsize.
