Pros
IFS was formed with a portfolio of solid, engineering focused smaller companies that built and sold reliable pump products. There is a relatively good appreciation of work/life balance, and the facility itself is centrally located.
Cons
Once the company was acquired by a Chicago based PE group, there has been less product focus and more of a push for increasing the bottom line. Unfortunately, that comes at the cost of the engineering and product focus which made the company successful to begin with. Company is also very much run from the boardroom by individuals who have business sense, but appear to know or care little about drivers of long-term success.
