      Pros

      Good compensation compared to other County agencies. Good benefits offered. Lots of in service training available to those who need it or desire it. Teamwork and communication is pushed. They seem to keep up with current technologies. Motivated employees will find this County fulfilling and they relish your input.

      Cons

      A number of Unions are used and it is difficult to for management to get rid of the bad apples. This tends to reduce teamwork and morale. Very liberal Board causing wasteful projects to be implemented like a global warming initiative while projecting layoffs due to lack of funds. Very politcal.

      working at ingham county is pretty good depending what department you work in, benefits, 401k, holiday days off

      Cons

      keeping up on inflation is not possible within the county employment system and lets wages stagnate
