Pros

A long standing company and leader in their industry. Worked with some of the most wonderful people and executives of anywhere I have been. Great benefits.

Cons

Several years ago my review would have been 5 stars. But with the retirement of the previous CEO (Craig Philip) and hiring of new SVP HR, the culture changed drastically and negatively. No longer a family atmosphere with focus on rewarding the loyal, experienced, and high performing associates. The company has moved to modern emphasis on employee satisfaction by HR which has hurt performance, long-term success, retention of knowledge and is having the opposite effect on organizational morale. Experienced, good managers are being thrown under the bus for the sake of baby-sitting the emotions of the younger, less professionally mature workforce. The culture is now more political and with little focus on rewarding longevity and knowledge which is what made Ingram the best company in the industry years ago.
