Pros

Some nice colleagues. A good place to learn what not to do.

Cons

At first glance, this place seems decent, but beneath the surface, it’s an absolute shambles. Leadership is completely disconnected, and HR is one of the worst offenders more interested in office politics and self-preservation than actually supporting employees. There’s no real accountability, just a culture of covering up and passing the buck. The hours are relentless, with no regard for burnout. Corporate leadership (not to be confused with divisional leadership) is too busy pandering to private equity owners to notice or care about the dysfunctional state of the business. Layoffs are constant, policies change on a whim, and transparency is non-existent. Their sole focus is securing a lucrative exit, but anyone outside their little bubble can see that the big payoff will never come, nor should it, given the way they operate. Speak up, and you’ll be sidelined or ignored. Rogue managers are given free rein to act without oversight, with HR either turning a blind eye or, in some cases, making matters worse. Raise a concern, and you might as well paint a target on your back. The dysfunction runs deep, and leadership has no interest in fixing it. Proceed with caution.

Pros

-Other employees at the company are generally kind and happy. -Lots of internal communities/comms platforms.

Cons

-Your manager will "make it or break it." -We had 3 different managers due to company-wide restructures, and 2/3 were extremely harsh and disrespectful; they did not embody the characteristics of a leader. Once a bias/preconceived notion was formed about me, I was immediately targeted, and everything I did was viewed unfavorably. (Ex: if they made mistakes, it was justified, but if anyone else did, it was time to point fingers) -Salaries are low while workload is high. (can vary by team/manager)
