Pros

I think this used to be a good place to come to get treatment, but not anymore. Helping clients was the only pro.

Cons

Everything. Literally, everything. Management plays favorites and go off of who you know and who likes you, and not on your work. They expect a lot of work from you and for you to not have any boundaries. They will move and use you where they want without consideration and blame you when you get behind, which you will because their demands are ridiculous. People are weirdly loyal despite it not serving them in any way. They also make you go through a temp agency for the first 90 days then you become “permanent.” They do this to get rid of people and not pay them unemployment. Then you can’t take any time off or use your time until 30 days AFTER the 90 days. So technically it’s a 4 month probation which is fine, if they were honest. They’re not. Don’t work here. The pay isn’t worth the work. The 4/10 schedule isn’t worth the work. Not enough resources to do your job effectively and so much turn around. People quit and get fired all the time. I’ve known of this agency for a long time and now that I see how it really runs, I would never recommend it to clients, families or other people in this field.

Pros

Believe in family, most working there are in recovery, supportive peers,

Cons

Overload counselor caseload with 35+ clients, paper charts, extreme amount of paperwork, inexperienced management, friends of admin get hired over qualified existing staff, double booking staff then giving them written notice of non compliance to file notes, large staff turnover due to burnout.
