Pros

This has been a fantastic place to work, especially with recent management changes and a renewed focus on putting out high quality work. There were some staff shakeups that has obviously left some former writers upset, but they were much needed as the staff had grown large and the site was in danger of becoming more like a content mill than a true news outlet. The recent focus has been on creating a smaller staff and stronger focus on work of the highest quality. Several of the writers are longtime journalists, veterans of newspapers and magazines and long-established sites. While it may be harder for people with a blogging background to find work on Inquisitr than it was before, the end result is a better site that has been steadily ranking higher in searches. I would highly recommend this job to anyone with a strong background in writing and reporting. To others with lesser background, there are better options to get their feet wet and learn the ropes as they build their resume and expertise.

Cons

The downside would be the same as any news media company. The overall outlook for the industry is fairly unpredictable, but outlets that offer high-quality and unique content tend to weather the storms, making the recent changes that much more important.

Pros

Inquisitr is NOT the same company it was 2-3 years ago. Current management has worked hard to turn the site around. I can't say enough good things about the staff, timely weekly pay, and the many tools given to help writers. The site continually strives to do better and the staff makes changes as needed to roll with the times. Inquisitr staff is always on hand for help and it's a real team environment.

Cons

This is not really a con, but there is a quota. It is an easy quota to hit for someone who makes their living as a writer, but could be hard for someone who has a full-time job outside of that.

Pros

Had the ability to write as much as I wanted and was really able to make quite a bit of money per week for this only being a side gig at the time. (Until the company completely flopped)

Cons

All they want you to write about is sexy/bikini/Instagram model clickbait nonsense. No integrity to the writing whatsoever. The managing editor at the time told me I was being let go with no notice whatsoever in the midst of the pandemic. She was then let go herself a short time later. But here's the kicker...the owner of the company then reached out to ME for a favor. The favor: to use a professional connection of mine to help the same person who fired me get another job.
