**Wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into after I graduated and took this job, worked at a career fair with IG and the talent specialist told me not to focus on telling them about recruiting, but to sell them the "client lunches and happy hours". Might help your turnover rate if you actually let people know what they're gonna be doing at that job.
**no flexibility with hours- want you in by 7:30 Am and don't you dare try leaving before 5pm. On top of that, happy hours or client meetings that occur after 5 might keep you there until 6-7pm. Yes you're getting free drinks, but youre also working long long hours. It sometimes is exhausting.
**high measure of standards, yes its a fast work environment, but many of my colleagues were consistently working late and then on Sunday to just keep up with the work. Its a quick and easy way to burn out.
**Really high turnover rate, its not a MLM or pyramid scheme but the amount of people who come and go is hard to keep track of.
**really only a few routes you can go- either become a professional recruiter or become an account manager (sales). No real other option even if they try to spin it like there is.
