Pros
Plenty of perks: stocked kitchen, sleek office space and central location. There are some really lovely people you get to work with, however it all depends on the role you have. Plenty of senior leaders available to chat and fairly transparent. Smart and interesting product designs which make you proud to sell and work with.
Cons
There were some poor, weak management in my sector. Some clearly promoted in positions they should never have been but were in right place, right time. A happy smile does not negate incompetency. Unnecessary double-ups of manager roles (one manager, one Team Leader). Poor at delegation. Targets for some roles unrealistic or unexplained, poorly designed or incomplete tracking methods, poor communication from management. Failure to complete 1-to-1's regularly, no follow through on development plans, oversimplification of sales markets or genuine lack of comprehension of basic sales processes or techniques. Previous experiences or talents rarely recognised or fostered due to little interest in your previous job history. Be careful taking on a role with little to no proven history without a full explanation of expectation, how it's measured and how it's rewarded. Ensure you dig for management styles and transparency. Watch for communication skills.
