Pros

This is the first review I have written on Glassdoor but I felt compelled to after a friend showed me a review regarding the G&A and Finance team. I unfortunately worked at Intapp for a short duration due to unfortunate personal circumstances. However the CFO who came from RMS is absolutely brilliant. He is the smartest CFO I have worked for and I learned a tremendous amount during my short time there. Additionally the Controller and FP&A Manager are wonderful people to work for and take a genuine interest in helping you develop your career. They take the time to explain questions in detail so the individual understands the underlying reason of why tasks are completed in a certain manner. The VP of HR has made it her mission to improve Intapp since she joined and in 2016 they were named one of the best companies to work for. Take each review with a grain of salt including this one, but I completely disagree with the review written about the G&A/FInance/RMS review. Intapp and the G&A leaders are fantastic people to work for who have a proven track record of success prior to joining Intapp. If it weren't for an unfortunate personal situation I would still be working at Intapp today. I highly recommend the company to anyone that is interested in pursuing an opportunity at here.

Cons

Since the VP of HR has made it her personal mission to improve all aspects of Intapp's culture and takes negative feedback from employees personally there aren't many cons overall. The toughest thing is dealing with the struggles of a growing company with system limitations but who can complain about working for a company that is growing extremely well with a great long term outlook and has transparency from the top down?

Pros

Good pay, some tolerable employees, lunch perk (when people aren’t taking your lunches), commuter friendly location

Cons

* The office floods more often than it should, and when it happens you’re expected to figure it out by working from home or out of backup spaces that aren’t great * There are basic respect issues that never get addressed, like people taking each other’s lunches, which says a lot about the culture * The company talks a lot about diversity, but the office itself doesn’t really reflect that * A lot of middle managers seem overwhelmed or unprepared to actually lead, so direction is often unclear * There’s a weird pressure at times to take on things that aren’t really your responsibility * When something goes wrong, it’s common for blame to get passed around instead of actually solving the problem * Parts of the culture feel more like a clique than a professional workplace * Drinking in the office is treated as normal and even encouraged, which can feel uncomfortable depending on the situation. At times, the environment became unprofessional during social events, and concerns around behavior did not seem to be taken seriously by HR. * There are frequent breakdowns in execution, and things fall through the cracks more than they should * The NYC office itself has a lot of ongoing issues and doesn’t feel well thought out for day to day work * Some leadership decisions are made by people who don’t seem to have the experience or support needed for the role * Overall, the environment can feel disorganized and, at times, more chaotic than collaborative
