Good people, lots to learn, helping others make breakthroughs, many departments to move laterally between.
Cons
If you want to move vertically, stay in one department--knowing the bigger picture is a hindrance to promotion. You also have to be lucky enough to be hired into a department that is expanding, the company is younger and so is the workforce-not many retirements in the next decade to move into.
